Mother Nature did not stop the mighty
Quarter Midgets from running the Dromana
Mowers Round 8 under lights.
We arrived at Avalon in a blistering 47
degree heat, but shortly after we
arrived the cool change hit and dropped
the temperature considerably. This
paved the way for a very pleasant and
exciting evening.
The kids and their machines did not
disappoint with the cool night air
supplying some of the fastest quarter
midget racing we have ever seen.
Our
Novice drivers
had a very competitive evening with
Tommy Carroll taking out the feature win
over Kim-Loong Gosling.

While
the
120cc category had three very furious
heats with Danny Carroll in Australia 1
landing top qualifier and taking home
the Dromana Mowers Highest Points
Awards.
The field was inverted for the feature
which meant Danny Carroll and Jordyn
Charge would be starting off the back
row.
It
was a very fast race with final placings
being Danny Carroll 1st,
Jordyn Charge 2nd and a very
impressive Jessica Morris 3rd,
Lachlan Morris and Jaimie-Lee Smith at
the rear.
Billy Carroll in his160cc power plant
was the top qualifier of the 160cc
field.
He also inverted the pack resulting in
him starting off the back row for what
was to be one of the most exciting
feature races in the history of the
sport.
All the boys went hard at it with lots
of passing, as they all wanted to be the
first night winner.
Finishing 1st was Daniel
Burleigh in Australia 1, followed by
Billy Carroll in 2nd and
Tyler Carter in 3rd.

Our stewards for the night were Stephen
and Marcus Hocking who awarded Danny
Carroll the Hard Charger Award and Bryce
Carter the Hard Luck Award.
