Well how time flys the 09/10
season has already started.
Round 1, Proudly sponsored by
Racegear Online was held on Saturday 10th
October and what a great day it was.
All the kids were keen to
show their new paint schemes and new race
gear that had been brought during the off
season. (see below)

Firstly welcome to our newest
members.
Julie - Anne,
Jeff and son Brandon Blood
whom will be driving in the
120 cc Class.
Along with Olivia
Stathopoulos, big sister to Kyle, both
competing in the 160 cc Class and young Kim
Fui Gosling running in our novice class.
Best of luck to all the new
drivers for their 1st race season.
With a new surface on the
track it was time for the kids to try it out
so after some rolling laps the hot laps
began.
Tommy Carroll, Kasey Garlick
and Kym Loong Gosling whom after having
stepped up from last years Novice Class
showed huge ability and ran consistently
with the more experience drivers like Jordyn
Charge 08/09 Champion and AUS 1 Danny
Carroll who was lucky enough to land a drive
in the USA during the off season.

With a newly laid track
surface,
Heat 1
saw the drivers being
tested in fairly loose
conditions, bringing on a couple of yellow
flags.
But to each childs credit
they all adapted and Danny Carroll took the
first chequred flag for the season followed
by Jordyn Charge and
Kym Loong Gosling
What a drive from Kim Loong
for his first time with the big kids.
(Well Done Mate!).
Danny Carroll having an
awesome day took out 3 wins from 3 starts
with Jordyn Charge and Jessie Garlick
running a close 2nd in heats 2&3.
With the points worked out
for the final it was sure to be a fast
start. Danny Carroll, Jordyn Charge from row
1, Mitchell Smith and older sister Jaimie
Lee from row 2, Jessie Garlick and Luke
Dingley in row 3, Lachlan Morris & Kym Loong
Gosling row 4 with Tommy Carroll and Kasey
Garlick rounding off the field.
When the green flag dropped
Danny got a great start followed by Jordyn
Charge and Jaimie-lee.
10 laps in Danny spun and was
sent rear, leaving Jordyn to lead the charge
ahead of his female competitors Jamie-Lee
and Jessie all 3 knowing Danny would be
working his way through the field with mum
and dad cheering from the side lines .
It was Jordyn who was able to
take the chequred flag ahead off Jessie
Garlick in second and Danny Carroll in 3rd.
Well done to all the
120cc drivers you all did a wonderful job
and as always were great to watch.

As per last season the 160cc
class is always fantastic to watch and
seem to be get faster each and every round.
I believe that this season
will not be an exception.
Luke Brady and Jessica Morris
moved up from the 120cc class to play with
the big boys.
I'm sure they found it some
what faster and harder racing.
Daniel Burleigh proving to
dad that his new car was a worth while
investment took out Heat 1 ahead of
Billy Carroll who like younger brother had a
fantastic day taking out heats 2&3.
Bobby Richardson showed us
again that he will be up there along with
Bryce and Tyler Carter in their Racetec
cars.
Kyle Stathopoulos also having
a great day found himself adapting quickly
after learning which lines are better to
take ensuring a nice even fast pace.
The final was sure to be hard
and fast and have it all, to which it didn't
disappoint.
With 5 cars retiring on the
infield including Jessica Morris after her
wheel came loose, Tyler Carter after a hit
with the fence Billy Carroll came away with
the win.
Billy leading from start to
finish was followed closely by Daniel
Burleigh in 2nd with Luke Brady coming home
in 3rd.
Well done guys as always you
amaze me with your ability and I look
forward to the remaining rounds to watch the
action again.
To our new drivers it won't
be long before you are all mixing it up with
your fellow drivers you all did a great job
and hopefully had a ball doing it.
Cheers and I hope to see
everyone at our first night meeting on
Saturday 24th October to enjoy Round 2 of
the Championships along with a
fundraising
sausage
sizzle.
