Round 2, Proudly sponsored by Racegear
Online was held on October 24th and was one
of the
first night meetings of the 2009/2010 season.

For a number of the drivers it was going to
be their 1st race under lights so there were
a number of butterfly's however for the kids
who had already raced under lights there was
an eagerness to get moving which indicated
that we were going to be in for an awesome
night.

Jordyn Charge hit the track in his new NC
Chassis car sponsored by Dancing With The
Stars 2009 winner Adam Brand and the "Hell
of a Ride" Album.
While Jessie Garlick also sported a new
colour scheme this season leaving behind her
previous white
car image for that of the new "New Image Antennas and Tritech
Lubricants" bright green number.
Special thanks to Matthew Reed Signs for
doing an amazing job with both of these
cars.
The 160cc class was nothing short of
spectacular to watch.
Bryce and Tyler Carter in their beautifully
presented Racetec Chassis were keen to once
again give it all they had on the track.
Billy Carroll deciding early on that this
meeting was again going to belong to him
taking wins in both Heats 1 & 2.
Daniel Burleigh or as he has been nick named
(Wingman) drove a great race in heat 3 to
take the win from Tyler Carter.
Kyle Stathopoulos having some motor troubles
early on meant that he was unable to make
Heat 1 however in normal Kyle fashion
like always he still walked around with a smile on his
face.
Luke Brady kept GB Racecars busy during the
night trying to work out why he didn't have
the get up and go of the other drivers,
Unfortunately a new motor is needed for
Luke.
Jessica Morris again able to mix it up with
the boys showing them that she won't be
pushed around.
Billy Carroll out of 1 for the Feature meant
that it was going to be a fast start to an
action packed race.
Billy hoping to take home wins from Rounds
1&2 didn't put a wheel wrong leading from
start to finish followed home by Tyler
Carter and Daniel Burleigh.
Well done guys you are great to watch.
It was the night for the Carroll Boys with
Danny Carroll taking 3 wins from 3 starts
but with the rest of the field mixing it up
the feature could have been anyones.
Kasey Garlick in the Simpson Race Gear
sponsored car seemed to be having all kinds
of problems with her brakes which resulted
in her spinning in front of the field
unfortunately taking Jamie-Lee Smith with her
metres from the chequred flag.
Luke Dingley and Lachlan Morris being the
quiet achievers of the night staying out of
trouble however getting some good places in
the finish.
Well Done to Brandon Blood who moved up from
the novice to join the 120cc class great
night's racing mate it won't be long before
you are really mixing it up with the other
drivers.
Tommy Carroll and Kym-Loong having a great
night with some wonderful results.
Brother and Sister team Mitchell and
Jamie-Lee also drove a great night however
all the drivers knew that Danny was on fire
and he would be hard to catch.
Jordyn Charge set out to chase him down and
did a great job, Jessie Garlick finding the
high line was the place for her and found
herself hard on Jordyn's tail for most of
the 20 laps.
Luke Dingley always keeping them within his
sights drove a great race not giving up
which in the end payed off as Jess ran a
little to wide allowing Luke to make the
pass on the inside to bring home 3rd behind
a great drive from Jordyn Charge in 2nd and
an awesome drive from Aus #1 Danny Carroll.
Going by the smiles on Olivia's and Kim-Fui's
face they both also enjoyed thier first race
meeting under the lights.
Thanks again to everyone for your help on
the night.
Special Thanks to Dave Burleigh for
suppyling
barbeque meat and to Mandy Smith for
organising the Fundraiser.
I hope to see you all at Round 3 November
7th.
Hope you all enjoy Melbourne Cup Day!!!!
Cheers
